Frank Munro RIP
...written by Chris Cox, posted in News, with 1 Comment.

I had a phone call a short time ago from Honorary Member John Richards informing me that sadly Wolves great Frank Munro has passed away after a spell of illness. Frank was a true Wolves great, and a supporter of the DDCWWFCSC,  attending our Dinners at Molineux when his health allowed.

Although confined to a wheelchair for many years he still attended many games at Molineux and knew all that was going on in the world of football as well as at Wolves. He was a fantastic and interesting man to talk to with plenty of tales to tell.

A hero for many of us of a certain age, a player of undoubted class who did not get the full international recognition his ability deserved winning 9 full caps and 4 under 23 caps for Scotland. He played 365 times for Wolves with 6 further substitute appearances scoring 19 times.

A true Wolves great. RIP Frank.

Chris Cox is co founder and chairman of the DDCWWFCSC.

I’m a little young to remember Frank Munro as a player but whenever he’s mentioned it’s with great fondness.

    RIP Frank
